How Much Are You Paying To Go To Work?

Working out how much it cost you to go to work on a daily basis can be very scary.

Petrol and diesel prices have gone through the roof and when you work out the price per gallon, you have to ask yourself - it is worth it?

Prices at the time of writing this are around the £1.869 per litre.

When I work this out the miles per gallon it is an enormous £7.07 per gallon!

So if you are travelling 10 miles to get to work and your car does say, 45 mpg - it will be costing you £15 per week to get to work each week. Over 48 weeks that is an incredible £753 per year... plus, the cost of maintaining the car, oil, tyres etc.

The good news is you have choices!

You can:
a) cut back on something else...
b) move home closer to your place of work (moving costs obviously need to be taken into consideration).
or
c) Contact me to discuss whether I can find you a job closer to home.

I have some wonderful software that targets companies by postcode, matching up your engineering skills and experience.

We can discuss whether these targeted companies are suitable for you, and after a conversation about your skills, your salary expectations, experience and so on, I can contact these companies on your behalf to see if they are interested in talking to you.

It's a bit like the way a footballer has an agent.

This is a free service ... it is free both at the beginning and the end of the process. You never have to pay anything.... accept the cost petrol to take you to the interview.
